Pedernales Falls State Park
A 5,212-acre park that offers six miles of river frontage for excellent fishing, horseback riding, wonderful hiking, beautiful scenery at the falls, and off-road bicycling.
Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park
This must-see park contains a lot of LBJ’s heart and soul – his love of expansive Texas landscapes, The Texas White House, longhorn cattle, cars, planes, BBQ, his school house, a replica of his birth-place, and the family cemetery.

Wildflower Art & Music Fest
Johnson City is the Wildflower Capital of the Texas Hill Country, and the local roads and fields are emblazoned with the colors of bluebonnets, Indian paintbrush, phlox, Mexican poppy, winecups, Indian blanket, and lemon mint during Springtime. The annual Wildflower Festival – with its flower displays, live music, contests, and food vendors – pays tribute to the splendor of Texas Wildflowers.
Blanco County Fair and Rodeo
We’re right next door to the Fairgrounds! The Blanco Rodeo has been coming to Johnson City for 91 years. See real live RODEO, plus youth rodeo events like goat roping and lamb roping. Visit the livestock exhibits, compete in the domino tournament, see the Queen’s coronation, try washer pitching, watch the parade, and boot-scoot at the Rodeo Dance with live Texas music.
